So, you're planning your wedding and are about to book your wedding photographer.
From the many services, packages, and a la carte add-ons to choose from, you're wondering what you want and what you need.
Which bring me to this question.
"DO I NEED TWO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHERS FOR MY WEDDING?"
Let's discuss this for a minute.
Really, the answer is up to you and your preference.
Some photographers like to offer two wedding photographers in their packages or as an add-on.
You may ask what this reason is for.
There's a variety of reasons but the two that are the most common are:
▪︎ Allows the opportunity for more wedding photos and coverage for you as the client.
▪︎ Creates a less stressed environment and makes things a little easier for your photographer so they can focus more on the important moments of your day.
While I do find having two other photographers there can be very beneficial, my opinion is you don't have to have two.
There are many photographers out there who can get the job done just as well or even better without the need for two photographers.
Personally speaking, I have been doing this on my own for 8 years now, have captured countless weddings by myself, and have created a very thorough system for how I approach and document your day which had proven to be very successful.
So, the answer all comes down to you and what you feel is best.
If your photographer offers having two wedding photographers included in your package or as an add-on and you feel it would be best, then I say, go ahead and go with the two.
If you speak with your photographer and they are more than confident that they can do an outstanding job on their own, the best thing to do is trust them.
BONUS: It also helps to read about what past clients have said about them, their work, and their experiences.
Do your research and communicate with your photographer, they will help steer you in the right direction.
